The spark of inspiration to run fitness retreats started in 2008 after Cat embarked on a progressive eight week surf camp in Costa Rica. Her dream job had always been to combine her passion for fitness and the outdoors while working with inspiring women from around the world, like those she met at the surf camp.
Together with her trusted partners, she turned that vision into Vifit Vacations, a company dedicated to curating top-notch adventure experiences. Today, we’ve flourished into a close-knit global community with a common love for travel, fitness and adventure.

Vifit Vacations is incorporated in British Columbia, Canada with business licenses in Vancouver Island and Whistler. All locations partner with local entrepreneurs to lead our trips successfully with Cat.

Our inspiration for a luxury travel experience is to empower your fitness adventures with like-minded women who also want slower pace. Your leaders work behind-the-scenes magic to ensure smooth, stress-free travel. Passionate about serving others, all SFR trip leaders have a professional background in fitness, hospitality, tour guiding and outdoor leadership.
Trip Leaders manage the group: organize logistics, drive group vehicle, lead meal prep, guide activities and prepare you for the trip both physically and logistically.
They’re first aid certified, equipped with satellite phones, wildlife protection and medical kit on trail. They adjust safety parameters to each guests fitness level, accessibility requirement and technical ability.
Positive, outgoing people who work hard to make sure your trip is fun and safe. They’re natural leaders, cultural ambassadors, personal photographers… and your travel besties all in one!
No, not all – Whistler Fitness Vacations and our one-day packages combine guided and self-guided tours. Self-guided tour service of Trip Leader includes trail support (where possible) for the group, including directions, trail and wildlife advisories. They’re responsible for your safe return (to the shuttle or lodge) at the end of each activity.
Trip leaders know the best local dining places and attractions, introducing you to our favourite local business owner friends.
We contract a local trekking company for Everest Base Camp – Nepali guides and porters, with Cat the trip host.
